歯が痛いよ

March 24th, 2006

I think its something about the air pressure or something, but my teeth are killing me.  I knew I shouldn’t have gotten them worked on just before leaving.  Oh well, not much to do now but whine about it.

Seems I tried to book extra days here at Utano too late, so now I have to find another place to sleep.  But I needed to go fish my bags out of the lockers at Kyoto station anyways.   Anyone have other suggestions for where to stay?

Unfortunately it seems most of my Kyoto friends are really busy job hunting and stuff, so I must find some way of entertaining myself.  Hrmmm… Perhaps I’ll go waste some money and go to an onsen - hahaha.

I think now is the time to broaden your horizons and see how the homeless live in Japan. It will uh… build character or something.

    James,
Ask Naomi. There is a guesthouse for foreigners around 銀閣寺, at the very east end of 丸太町通り. We had a mutual friend from South Africa who lived there. When does your dorm open up? I-House opened up around March 15 I think.

I believe we are allowed to move in on the 27th.

Yeah, and they sounded pretty firm about the 27th being the earliest. I ended up just getting a room at the Tour Club that is near Kyoto Station. Its pretty nice, I stayed here for a night last summer too.

I really HAVE to find a way to get into I House though. Kyoto International House is just too friggin far away. Thats right. I said ‘friggin.’
